The little letter of 2 John was critical in preserving the integrity of God’s message. John encourages and warns the church at the same time to know the truth, walk in the truth, protect the truth. The truth is that Jesus is the Son of God and our salvation. The truth is the key to our unity, grace, mercy and peace. Don’t get involved with anyone who doesn’t teach the real Jesus.
