Do we choose to be Herod, cling to our power, and our glory, and our sin, and ourselves? Or do we willingly humble ourselves before Jesus and find that in losing our lives we gain it? If you are willing to leave your throne, Christ invites you to rule and reign with Him. That’s the Gospel. Christmas is God saying there’s no way for you to save yourself, so I’m going to allow my Son to save you by dying in your place.
