In Haggai 2, the Israelites begin to re-build the Temple after the foundation had lain desolate for fifteen years. God’s people start to repent and obey God, but their circumstances didn’t get any better for them. God says, “work, for I am with you.” When you follow God, what do you get? The greatest gift of all, God Himself.
