Bad religion is decried by Jesus in Matthew 29 when He condemns the Pharisees on their hypocrisy. But we can easily commit the same sins. Here are seven ways you can become hypocritical: Make up your own rules and act like they are Biblical. Keep people from God while convincing them they are growing closer to Him. Revere religious objects. Value practices more than people. Focus on the exterior rather than the interior. Teach truth to others, but never learn yourself. Pretend to honor that which you destroy.
