Jim Corcoran

    He was a graduate of Central Bible College, Springfield, MO, earned an M.Ed in Counseling at the University of Memphis, and a Ph.D in Christian Counseling at Florida Christian University. While licensed as a professional counselor in Texas and Arizona and mental health counselor in Florida, he served as President of Christian Counselors of Texas and was a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. In 2004 he was invited to join the Pastoral Counseling Team at Casas Church, Oro Valley, AZ and subsequently was ordained as a minister of the gospel by the leadership of the Casas Church. In addition to his private practice, RealSmartLiving, Licensed Professional Counseling Service in Oro Valley, AZ, Dr. Corcoran taught Counseling Skills and Techniques at the Tucson campus of Wayland Baptist University. He authored several booklets of concise, cogent recipes for relational harmony: Three Steps to Joy in Forgiving, and a companion version, How and When to Forgive.
