Luke writes a story of Jesus that highlights how Jesus was an outsider who came for outsiders. From the very first chapters of Luke, where Luke shows us a child born to an unwed mother in a stable with animals and then shepherds, not in a palace with royalty, to the ministry of Christ, where he is rejected by those in his hometown and pursues those who are on the fringes: women and paralytics and those who are demon possessed. Greg grew up in a Jewish home near Minneapolis and learned Hebrew scripture and tradition from birth. He knew about God, but did not know God. As a young teenager God opened his eyes and awoke his soul to experience Jesus as the messiah, the fulfillment of all he knew. College, marriage to Debra, and seminary followed in Colorado. He’s been at New Life since 1998. Greg and Debra’s incredible adult children (Levi, Abigail, Samuel, and Grace) all grew up here, and two grandchildren (Mariah and Ethan) call Colorado home. He enjoys hiking, photography, sports, and is a bit fanatical about all things Vikings.
