Bishop Boone is the president of Wellington Boone Ministries, which includes the Fellowship of International Churches, a cross-cultural network of bishops, pastors, and Bible-based churches and educational institutions worldwide. As a pioneer in the Promise Keepers men’s movement under Coach Bill McCartney, he spoke in more than 50 stadium events in major cities where he personally discipled a million men in live audiences. Through Man-Hunt, his dynamic new outreach to men, he is providing pastors with effective strategies to attract and train men. As founder of the Kingmakers women’s movement, he inspires and activates women to fulfill their destiny. Bishop Boone’s books on marriage such as Your Wife Is Not Your Momma and Women Are Kingmakers! are widely credited with transforming Christian marriages and developing championship children. His credibility is proven by his marriage to his high school sweetheart, Katheryn, for more than 40 years. They have three grown children and seven grandchildren. All of his major leaders have strong marriages with decades of longevity that they credit to his faithful commitment to teach and live by biblical principles of family life. As a respected author, his dynamic published works are known for their extensive footnotes and research documentation as well as practical and inspirational reading for spiritual growth. Other titles include Holy Ghost Is My Friend, Low Road to New Heights, Dare to Hope, and Your Journey with God, a personal accountability journal for leaders. The Wellington Boone Collection—three decades of his ministry archives—is included in the Special Collections of Regent University Library. Bishop Boone is the founder of the Black American Christian Embassy (BACE), a breakthrough concept of racial reconciliation and urban ministry. He was selected by the Southern Baptists as an A-level author for his book Breaking Through, which they published to demonstrate their repentance for a past history of racism. He is rated by researcher George Barna as one of the 17 most influential Black Americans of the 20th Century.
