Fear is a universal experience. Jeremiah is a young prophet called to prophesy against his own people. He was suicidal at times because of the pressure. Despite his challenges and fears, he has a powerful and influential ministry for over 40 years. There are three categories of fear researchers have discovered: fear of making mistakes, fear of rejection and fear of relaxing (it feels dangerous to relax). Jeremiah overcame his fears by experiencing God’s perfect love: to know Him, to recognize we are set apart by Him, and we are appointed and empowered to do His work.
